Armenians in the 18th century

In the 18th century, the Armenians did not have their own state, but lived on a large territory from the Caspian Sea to Istanbul.
There were also free and dependent principalities. They constantly fought for their existence with powerful empires.
The cohesion around their culture and Christian religion helped the Armenians survive these difficult times and maintain their identity.
