In the 6th - 4th centuries BC, Armenia was part of the Achaemenid Iperia. Armenian military formations took part in many campaigns together with the Persians. The last time it was, probably at the Battle of Gaugamela.
Modern researchers believe that the Armenian infantry of that time was lightly armed and mobile. And the cavalry was very versatile.
I have tried to reconstruct the appearance of these warriors from the scarce sources that I have.
Thanks for watching!
