Lchashen Cart. Late Bronze Age in Armenia

Wheeled carts in Armenia most likely appeared under the influence of the steppe Yamnaya culture from the north. The Lchashen cart is one of the most ancient means of transport found. It belongs to the Lchashen-Metsamor archaeological culture of the Late Bronze Age. This culture is also characterized by a large number of artifacts related to military affairs.
This painting depicts people carrying some cargo in a cart pulled by a pair of primitive horses. Perhaps these are traders who supply goods to the numerous settlements and fortresses on the shores of Lake Sevan.
